I Am the Diva Weekly Challenge #244: "Tripoli Triptastic"

I have never had much luck with Tripoli.  With Laura's guidance and another look at the step out, I think I get it.  Of course, I have to let it run to organic blobalicious because that's who I am.  I think it looks like something, but I have no idea yet, what.

I used the blue pen and yellow pencil because they were there.  Good enough for me.

  2. Lovely colours and I like how you made the centres in the Tripoli look hollow.

  3. I love the organic blobaliciousness (I'll have to teach spell check that very descriptive word). Your tile is nice at first glance and then it has the potential to play games with the viewer's (i.e. moi) mind. Are the white areas meant to be raised curved surfaces OR are they hollows? At first I was thinking that your design would make a great modern deviled egg serving platter, but then I blinked and saw the white spaces rising off the page. Now I think I'll have to go off and cogitate about something more simple --- like coming up with a plan for solving the mess in Syria.

    1. Wow Suzanne, that is quite a challenge you'e decided to cogitate upon. I think I'll stick with is it an inny or an outy. I've decided inny. Speaking strictly Tangle, I've decided that changing the shading to a different position in relation to the orientation will change the the inny/outy effect (hmmmm). I just visited your blog and read your Aspen travel tale. Once upon a time about 30 years ago when I was a mere 40, I took my first ever "long" bike ride over Vail pass (a mere 10,662 feet) from Frisco to Vail and back. I think I returned alive, but I'm not sure. I'll have to read more tales about you and "Mr. Excitement". Thanks for your wit and gentle sense of humor.

  10. Blob-o-licious...I love it. There is nothing blobby about your tile; it's wonderful. As is the color.
